Join us in celebrating the holy passing of St Clare from this world to the next. This is known as the Transitus of St Clare and is a very special event for the Franciscan family. We warmly invite you to attend to receive the blessings that this celebration brings and to join us the following day, the feast of St Clare, for Holy Mass at 8am.

The Community offers Monastic Experience Days designed for women who are interested in exploring the contemplative life within a monastic community. These special days provide an opportunity to discover more about the daily rhythm of prayer, work, and community life as lived by the Poor Clares. The day is also very helpful if you are discerning whether a monastic vocation might be right for you.
Participants typically join the sisters in their liturgical prayer (the Divine Office), spend time in silent prayer, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and reflection, and learn about the unique charism and history of the Poor Clare Order. There are also opportunities for informal conversation with the sisters, as well as times for questions and guidance in discernment.

The next Monastic Experience day will take place on the 19th of September 2026

Cherished Daughters is back! Join us in the 6th of September for an afternoon of faith, prayer, song and fellowship with Women's Spirituality speaker Louise Mc Guinness, co director of the Mullaghmore retreat centre in Co Sligo. See you there!

Daily Mass at 8amSome compelling reasons for attending daily Mass in our chapel or in any Church: It deepens your relationship with Jesus through the Eucharist. It offers spiritual strength and guidance for life’s challenges. Attending Mass provides a sense of community and shared faith. Regular participation helps nurture gratitude and peace in daily life. |
Mary is mother, she always assists us: when we are working and when we are looking for work, when we have clear ideas and when we are confused, when prayer flows spontaneously and when the heart is desolate: She is always there to help us. Mary is the Mother of God, our mother and mother of the Church. So many men and women, young and old have turned to Her to say ‘thank you’ and to beg a favour. Mary takes us to Jesus and Jesus gives us peace. Let us turn to Her, trusting in her assistance, with courage and hope.
